Hornby Railways have been very busy shipping new product into stores during the last few weeks

 

R3087 – The long awaited BR Push-Pull train pack has arrived. This excellent pack contains BR 0-4-0 M7 class locomotive in BR black livery with red boiler bands and late crest.

The two coaches are converted Mausells from the Southern Region. Available from our web site or store in Leighton Buzzard at very competitive price. The locomotive is DCC ready which means it has a socket where the DCC chip can be plugged in convert to DCC operation.

“pull-push” is a mode of operating a locomotive hauled train fitted with the facility for them to be controlled from either end. Originally pioneered by the gwr however, other railway companies adopted the same practice. Although southern railways introduced pull-push trains fairly early on, british railways continued the practice with the introduction of such “new” trains using converted maunsell coaches on the southern region as depicted in this pack.

R4534 – Hornby are on the ball here as the 2 car “push – pull coach pack to go with the train pack has also arrived this week.

R3096 – Also in store this week the fabulous “Golden Arrow” with BR Britannia Class 4-6-2 locomotive “William Shakespeare” fitted with running number 70004. Included with the locomotive are brass etched plates.

This is a special limited edition of only 1500 pieces celebrating the 40th anniversary of the end of the Golden Arrow boat train service in 1972.

R3111 – BR Duchess Class “City of Edinburgh”. We quickly sold out of our initial stock of this striking loco in BR Blue, but have been fortunate enough to have received some more available for sale this week.

R3097 – BR class 9F. Another special edition from Hornby is the 2-10-0 locomotive “Evening Star”. Introduced bt Hornby to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the brand name Hornby Railways later to become Hornby. Comes in a specially designed box similar to the 1972 version of this locomotive and includes limited edition certificate.

R3101 – national railway museum special edition. Lms 4-6-2 “duchess of hamilton” princess coronation class in lms red livery with steamlining. A beautiful locomotive and old hornby favourite now updated.

Bachmann

31-678 The first batch of class 85s sold out quickly and have now been replaced and are on or site again ready for sale. 31 676 - type al5 electric e3058 BR electric blue twin pantograph is due in store and on the site sometime during the next 2-3 weeks so look out for our next news letter.

31-677 type al5 electric e3056 BR blue (pre-tops) single pantograph, is expected at the same time.

We have taken delivery this week a large number of Bachmann private owner wagons, new in this years catalogue. There are some really smart wagons on offer and all at very good prices.
 

Dapol

The Dapol motorised signals which were released recently are proving to be in great demand. We have in stock a good quantity of both the “OO” gauge and the “N” gauge signals. For both gauges they are produced representing the GWR and LMS regions and come in both home and distant variations. Priced at just over £20 they are an excellent buy and highly sought after.
